Noun

Proper Noun

Common Noun

Compound Noun

A noun that combines two or more words to create a new meaning, such as "toothpaste" or "mother-in-law."

Abstract Noun

A noun that cannot be perceived with the five senses.

Concrete Noun

A noun that can be perceived with the five senses.

Collective Noun

A singular noun that refers to a group of individuals or things.

Adjective

A word that describes or modifies a noun, providing more detail about its qualities, quantities, or characteristics.

Proper Adjective

An adjective derived from a proper noun, typically capitalized, used to specify or denote particular entities or groups, like "American" or "Shakespearean."

Article

A type of determiner that specifies a noun as known or unknown, including 'the' (definite) and 'a' or 'an' (indefinite).

Pronoun

A word that takes the place of a noun.

Personal Pronoun

A type of pronoun that refers to specific persons or things, distinguishing between the speaker (first person), the listener (second person), and others (third person), such as 'I,' 'you,' 'he,' 'she,' and 'they.'

Subject Pronoun

Object Pronoun

Verb

Action Verb

Linking Verb

Helping Verb

Adverb
