17th Amendment
This Progressive Era legislation required that all U.S. senators be elected by popular vote
Teller Amendment
Congress passed this resolution which declared war on Spain in 1898 but also declared that the U.S. had no intention of taking control of Cuba and that once peace was restored they would be independent
American Expeditionary Forces

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)
WEB DuBois and other progressive created this organization which became the largest civil rights organization in the US and aimed to abolish all forms of segregation and to increase educational opportunities for African Americans
