What is Primary PPH?
Occurs within 24 hours after birth.
Causes: Uterine atony, lacerations, retained placenta, uterine rupture.
What is Secondary PPH?
Occurs after 24 hours up to 6 weeks postpartum.
Causes: Retained placenta, poor uterine involution, infection.
