Halo effect
This effect shows us that better looking people, in terms of rating, looks, and more are more preferred than people that look bad.
Horn effect
This effect shows us that bad looking people are tended to be chosen less than better looking people.
Confirmation bias
This effect explains that we tend to favor information that aligns with our current beliefs, and ignore information that goes against our belief.
Dunning-Kruger effect for dumb people
This effect is when dumb people overestimate their abilities and knowledge in a certain subject, sounding extremely confident.
Dunning-Kruger effect for smart people
This effect is when smart people underestimate their abilities and knowledge in a certain subject, normally not contributing to the class.
Sunk Cost fallacy
When a person keeps investing their money, effort and time into a failing project purely from arrogance or to prove everybody wrong. They normally use the same approach to the problem numerous times, not learning from the obvious mistakes.
Grit / Preserverance
When a person keeps investing their money, effort and time into a failing project, adapting every time they fail to reach a desirable outcome.
Difference?
Sunk Cost Fallacy is the term used when a person fails in their project, meanwhile people mistake successful people as people with grit/preserverance.
Intrinstic Motivation
When we want to do something that we like. Like drawing, writing, playing sports e.t.c.
