Skeletal Muscle
Muscle attached to bones that allows the body to move; it is voluntary (consciously controlled) and striated.
Cardiac Muscle

Endocrine Gland
A gland that releases hormones directly into the bloodstream without using ducts.
Anatomical Planes
Imaginary flat surfaces used to divide the body into sections and describe body structures.
Sagittal Plane
An anatomical plane that divides the body into left and right portions.
Midsagittal Plane
A sagittal plane that divides the body into equal left and right halves.
Parasagittal Plane
A sagittal plane that divides the body into unequal left and right portions.
Frontal (Coronal) Plane
An anatomical plane that divides the body into front (anterior) and back (posterior) portions.
Transverse Plane
An anatomical plane that divides the body into top (superior) and bottom (inferior) portions.
