Hypothesis definition

a proposed explanation of why certain events take place

Quantitive data definition

numerical measurements that are made using scientific instruments eg. values of mass, temperature, volume and time

Qualitative data definition

descriptive observations that are made by the person carrying out the experiment eg. changes in colour or gas production

Scientific theory definition

an explanation of observations and is based off hypothesis, laws and facts

a description of observed occurences
