primary motor area
Corticospinal Tracts crossing fibers become what
lateral CST and continue caudally through the whole spinal cord (limbs)
Corticospinal Tracts that do not cross form what
ventral (anterior) CST (trunk innervations)
Reticulospinal tract: involved in
facilitation or inhibition of reflex activity through alpha and gamma motor neurons
Rubrospinal tract: responsible for
motor input of gross postural -facilitates flexors, inhibits extensors
Vestibulospinal Tract: Responsible for
ipsilateral gross postural tone -facilitates extensors, inhibits flexors
Tectospinal responsible to
contralateral tone with auditory stimuli
