  • Costly to implement. Eg. staff will need to be trained, taken away from regular duties 

  • Unsuitable for larger businesses that have traditional hierarchies, weaker interpersonal relationships, prevent trust and openness

  • Time needs to be allocated for team meetings and discussions, may lower productivity
