Effect on emotional development:

44 thieves study, affectionless psychopath = lack of guilt or remorse. 14/44 = AP and 12/14 = deprived and 5/30 = deprived

5

Researcher bias

Bowbly carried out the research himself in 44T, he knew which kids were intended to find AP in, lowering the validity.

6

Research support

Harlow found that when the monkeys were separated from their mothers a reared with a wire mother instead, they formed aggressive and antisocial behaviour. Showing that material deprivation does have an effect on behaviour.
