Like Terms
Terms that share identical variable or radical components, allowing their numerical coefficients to be added together.
Coefficients
The numerical numbers in front of variables or radicals that are added together when combining like terms.
Simplified Form of 3x+4y+5x+8y
The result obtained by adding like terms 3x+5x and 4y+8y, which equals 8x+12y.
Simplified Form of 3\frac{}{}\root2\relax… wait no, radical in LaTeX is \sqrt{2}
Correct LaTeX: 2
