Online Pictures

Finds and inserts pictures from a variety of online sources.

Picture Styles

Picture Border

Adds a border to a selected graphic with options for color, width, and line style.

Wrap Text

Allows text to be included with pictures, shapes, or tables without covering or hiding under the image, giving the user control over how the text is position

Position

Moves an object to a specific location on a page.

Themes

Predefined combinations of colors and fonts that you can select for a form or report.

Shapes

Forms such as circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, etc.

Shape Fill

Fills selected shape with solid color, gradient, picture, or texture

Shape Height and Width

Use these input boxes to change the height and width of shapes or images.

SmartArt

Predesigned drawings that allow you to quickly insert diagrams and charts

Group

Join objects together so that you can move and format them as if they were a single object.

Align

Line up objects at their tops, bottoms, edges, or centers.

Shape Outline

Refers to the color, weight, style, and pattern of an outline around the current shape

WordArt

A feature used to turn text into a formatted graphic.

Alignment guide

Green vertical or horizontal lines that display when you are moving or sizing an object to assist you with object placement.

Text Box

A rectangular drawing object in which text or graphics images can be inserted and positioned anywhere on a page.

Distribute Vertically

A document design layout where objects are evenly spaced from the top of the document to the bottom of the document.

Distribute Horizontally

A document design layout where objects are evenly spaced from the left side of the document to the right side of the document.

Online Video

Insert online videos that you can watch right in Word without having to leave the document.

Crop

The removal of unwanted outer areas from a photographic or illustrated image.

Screenshot

Used to take a snapshot of any open window and add it to your document.

Screen Clipping

An image capture of only a part of your computer screen that you have selected.

Artistic Effects

Formats applied to images that make pictures resemble sketches or paintings.

Remove Background

Allows you to remove unwanted portions of a picture such as the background.

Picture Effects

Formatting that enhances a picture with effects such as shadow, glow, reflection, or 3-D rotation.

Check Compatibility

A feature which may identify potential functionality loss when a presentation is saved in an earlier software versions

Text that appears if an image does not download or that describes the contents of an image.

Check Accessibility

An option in the Info tab which may inform the user of possible accessibility issues that screen readers may have and offer advice concerning possible ways to fix them.

Document Inspector

Checks for and removes certain hidden and personal information from a document.

Compatibility Checker

Detects data and features that are not compatible with previous software versions.

Format 3D Model

Use this task pane to adjust rotation settings and other formatting options of a 3D model.

3D Model

Used to insert ready-made 3D model graphics from the web or your computer.

Add Shape

Used to choose what kind of shape to add and where to insert it in the graphic

Smart Art Style

The shading and texture effects on the shapes used in the diagram.

Edit Text

Used to add or edit text within shapes.

Smart Art Layout

A particular arrangement of shapes that a Smart Art graphic can have.

Page Size

The width and height of the finished paper document

Draw

Use to select a tool that allows you to draw with your finger, mouse, or stylus pen, depending on the device you are using.

Eraser

Used to erase ink that has been drawn on the page.

Pens

Use to choose the thickness, color, and effect to use for drawing ink on the page.

Ink to Shape

Used to quickly convert ink drawings into shapes.

Ink Replay

Used to replay the sequence of ink strokes it took to create a drawing.
