tell me about yourself?

my name is angel and i am a former student council member.

• bike rides, watching movies and shows

• quality aspects of me is that im reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic

can you expand on what you mean by “holding session for people to get to know eachother better?”

• beginning of the year we should hold at least a meeting where you get to know everyone personally, not just by saying what your name is but like a introduction, talking to each other.

• in this way, this can help build new connections especially with new members, make things less awkward within the first months and likely prevent drop out and improve attendance within the council.

• i’ve seen that after the first semester, a couple people dropped out from student council

if you were to run as grade representative, what ideas would you have for your grade area/group?

ideas such as:

• kahoot about topics

• shadow boxing

• triathlon races

• anything that rallies up ppls energy levels

you were in spirt committee correct? if you are planning to join other committees, how come you didn’t provide ideas or participate within discussions of spirt committee? how will that differ this time around?

• i understand that as i got the opportunity to be in spirt committee, i am aware of my actions that i didn’t really participate and contributed my ideas within conversation but actively listening instead

• if i were to join other committees, i understand that i have to share and contribute my share with my ideas.

how will you further your contributions within stuco this year? elaborate on that

• interacting with our community on what they would like to see and expect from stuco

• pros of this is making our community feel heard and benefits stuco too as this gives us the info on what we can do to improve and increase engagement within our school by providing the feedback given to us from our school

• asking around, socials media, polls, teams surveys, a place in the school a an anonymous box to place ideas in, etc

why do you want to join merch/carnival?

• willing to join merch so i can expand on my creative skills and play around with designs shaping the future of stucos future hoodie

• build up on design principles, get to learn more from others around me who are willing to work for this goal too

• willing to join carnival due to its unique and exciting fun content at the end of the school year.

• get to experience managing finances, costs, budgeting, coming up w new game ideas or inflatables to get, overall building the best experience of carnival kp has ever seen

what is the purpose of stuco being in kp to you?

• gives the chance and opportunity to let youth take control and make an example as young leaders

• as we grow throughout highschool, in stuco we can develop those leader like skills by volunteering, committees, grade reps, helping us shape our future and even the future of kwantlen park secondary

• lets us take initiative
