What is Voltage Summing?
A mixing method where multiple signals are summed onto a bus. As more signals are added, the bus signal level drops and the transformers and mix amp contribute sonic colour
What is Current Summing?
A mixing method using a virtual-earth circuit where the bus remains at approximately 0 V regardless of how many signals are added. It does not require input or output transformers and does not colour the audio.
What is the 2081 module?
An inline channel module combining a mic preamp and 4-band EQ based on Neve 1081 circuitry, with an output amp based on the BA283 circuitry used in the 1073 and 2254.
How many auxiliary sends does the 2081 module provide?
5
What are some key features of the Master Section?
Two 2254 compressors, four stereo reverb returns, eight recallable scenes, monitoring of up to 12 sources simultaneously and comprehensive 7.1 monitoring.
What does the console's Current Summing design mean for audio colouration?
The mix bus does not colour the audio because it uses a virtual-earth design without input or output transformers.
What is the Modern Output Stage?
A transformerless, balanced floating output designed for sonic transparency that can drive balanced or unbalanced professional studio equipment.
What is the purpose of Scenes?
To store and recall console settings; the Series 75 provides eight recallable scenes
