The actions and policies implemented by the government to manage diversity and maintain social harmony.

Assimilation

A policy where immigrants are expected to adopt the practices and beliefs of the majority group and become identical to them.

Integration

The process of incorporating individuals from diverse backgrounds into the host country while allowing them to maintain their own unique identities.

State secularism

A policy followed by certain countries, like France, where individuals are encouraged to prioritize the national identity over other identities such as race or ethnicity.
