What is a Sacrament?
An outward sign corresponding with an inward transformation of the Holy Spirit. Significance: It makes God's grace visible and effective in our lives.
What is Grace?
The free and undeserved gift of God’s love and presence. Significance: It helps us respond to God and grow in holiness.
What is the Sacramental Principle?
The belief that God uses physical things (like water, oil, bread) to communicate invisible grace. Significance: Shows the value of the physical world in God's plan.
What does "Instituted by Christ" mean?
It means that Jesus directly established the Sacraments. Significance: Each Sacrament connects us to Jesus’ own life and mission.
What is the purpose of the Sacraments?
To give grace, build up the Church, and draw us into relationship with God. Significance: They are God's way of making His love present and effective in our lives.

Removes original sin, makes us members of the Church, and begins our life in Christ. Significance: It's the foundation of Christian life.

Water, oil, white garment, candle. Significance: They show cleansing, strengthening, new life, and the light of Christ.
Why is Jesus’ baptism important?
It shows He identifies with us and marks the start of His mission. Significance: Sets an example for us to follow.

What does Confirmation do?
Strengthens baptismal grace, seals us with the Holy Spirit, and empowers us to live our faith boldly. Significance: Matures our faith.

Chrism oil, laying on of hands. Significance: Show being chosen, strengthened, and anointed for mission.
What is the Theology of the Mass?
The Mass is both a sacrifice and a meal. Significance: It re-presents Christ’s death and unites us to Him.

What does it mean to live liturgically?
To carry the values and meaning of the liturgy into daily life. Significance: Helps faith shape your everyday actions.
How do Sacraments use creation?
