Why did Truman decide to use it?-
The United States dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945, ending World War II. Truman decided to use them to force Japan's surrender and potentially save American lives in a costly invasion, though the bombings resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians
