Double Angle Formula
A formula that expresses trigonometric functions of double angles in terms of single angles.
Power Reduction Formula
A formula that allows one to express trigonometric functions in terms of powers of sine and cosine.
Conjugate
A binomial formed by changing the sign between two terms in a product, useful in simplifying expressions.
Sine of Two Angles
The formula for sine of the sum or difference of two angles, given by sin(A ± B) = sinA cosB ± cosA sinB.
Cosine of Two Angles
The formula for cosine of the sum of two angles, given by cos(A ± B) = cosA cosB ∓ sinA sinB.
Sine Inverse Function
The inverse of the sine function, which returns the angle whose sine is a given number.
Cosine Inverse Function
The inverse of the cosine function, which returns the angle whose cosine is a given number.
Quadrant of an Angle
The category in which an angle lies, based on its position in the coordinate system.
Sine of Two X
Refers to the sine function evaluated at twice the angle, given by sin(2x) = 2sin(x)cos(x).
Cosine of Two X
Refers to the cosine function evaluated at twice the angle, given by cos(2x) = cos²(x) - sin²(x) or one of its equivalent forms.
