Feedback System- Explain the Control Center. What does it do?

-in the body is for example the brain. It evaluates the input it receives and generates output commands. It is the second phase in the feedback loop. Output typically consists of nerve impulses or hormones. So, the receptor stage has nerve endings that detect cold in our body, it send it to the control center which processes the information and sends “commands” to the effector which produces a response or shivers to keep us warm.

Feedback systems- Explain Negative Feedback.

Negative feedback will STABILIZE a body reaction. Most Feedback systems are negative. Some examples are blood glucose, PH, and body temperature🥵. If you get too hot or cold the negative feedback system will work to return you to a normal body temperature. The receptor (nerve endings) that detect cold for example send information to the control center that then sends “commands” to the effector that makes you shiver thus warming you. So, the receptor detects the change in temperature but a stimulus is for example cold snow and ice that simulates the receptors.

Feedback system - Explain Positive Feedback

As far as the feedback system, ( Stimulus, Receptor, control, effector) it is the same as the negative feedback system, but instead of stabilizing a body reaction it will INCREASE a reaction. An example is childbirth. When a baby’s head pushes on the cervix it stretches, a negative feedback system would try to close the cervix but a positive feedback system will do the opposite it will INCREASE levels of the hormone oxytocin to open the cervix.
