Number of employees leaving in a time period/average number of people employed x 100

Advantages of part time

• flexible hours of work

• students are exposed to various ways of teaching

• schools don’t need to give rpomotions

Disadvantages of part time

• less committed to the job and more lively to leave for another

• holidays are not payed: lots of holidays in school, lower pay —> less motivation

• Might take longer to recruit as most people look for full time security

Advantages of full time

• teachers have more experience

• teachers know each other better

• schools have to deal with less “difficult” teachers

• higher motivation (raises, lots of paid holidays)

Disadvantages of full time

• schools have to pay for raises

• students aren’t exposed to enough teaching styles

• less flexible hours of work
