What is the definition of a Pathogen

A microorganism that causes disease (e.g. Virus, Bacteria or fungi)

A protein found on the surface of a pathogen that is recognized as foreign by the Immune system

A protein produced by lymphocytes that is specific to an antigen and binds to it to help destroy the pathogen.

What is Phagocytosis?

The process by which phagocytes engulf and digest pathogens inside a vacuole using enzymes.

A type of white blood cell that produces antibodies in response to antigens
