Posteroanterior Projection (PA)

The CR enters at the posterior surface and exits at the anterior surface

Anteroposterior Projection (PA)

The CR enters at the anterior surface and exits at the posterior surface

AP Oblique Projection

An AP projection of the upper or lower limb with a slight medial or lateral rotation

PA Oblique Projection

A PA projection of the upper or lower limb w a slight medial or lateral rotation

Mediolateral Projection

The CR enters the medial aspect of the body part and exits the lateral aspect

Lateromedial Projection

The CR enters the lateral aspect of the body part and exits the medial aspect

Axial projection

Any angle of the CR of 10° or more along the long axis of the body or body part

Inferosuperior axial projection

The CR enters the body part inferiorly or below and exits superiorly or above

Superoinferior Axial Projection

The CR enters the body superiorly and exits inferiorly

Tangential Projection

The CR skims the body part to project the anatomy in profile and free of superimposition or surround body structures

Dorsoplantar Projection

The CR enters from dorsal (anterior) surface and exits the plantar (posterior) surface of the foot

Plantodorsal Projection

The CR enters from plantar (posterior) surface and exits the dorsal (anterior) surface of the foot
