Human Sexuality

The Latin word literally meaning "to cut" or "cut mark" from which sexuality originates; spiritually signifies giving oneself to present a gift to another person.

The concept (Gen 1:27) that humans are created in the image and likeness of God, possessing intellect/reason, free will, conscience, and inherent dignity to form relationships by choice.

A gift of the Holy Spirit that helps us understand created things, divine truths, and the sacraments.

A gift of the Holy Spirit that moves us to love and revere God as our loving Father and to honor all that is sacred.

Fear of the Lord

A gift of the Holy Spirit providing a sense of deep reverence before God and a desire not to offend Him.

Small Christian communities rooted in the life of Jesus and the Apostles, promoting a true sense of Church.

The faith, courage, and example of martyrs who faced punishments such as crucifixion, beheading, burning alive, and being fed to wild beasts to strengthen Christians.
