Control
A sample in an experiment that doesn't change at all, in which the variables are kept at base level.
Hypothesis
A prediction of what you think will happen which can be tested to see if it's true.
Inference
An educated guess based on observation.
Observation
Something noticed through the senses.
Theory
An explanation of the scientific law.
Variable
A changeable factor that could influence an experiment's outcome.
Celsius Scale
Temperature scale in which degrees represents the freezing point of water and 100 degrees represents boiling point of water.
Density
Mass per unit of volume of a substance.
Gram
Standard unit for mass in the metric system.
Liter
Standard unit for volume of liquid.
Meter
Standard unit for length.
