What is a vaccination?
Vaccines area form of antigens injected into blood to trigger artificial active immunity against a pathogen

What is a booster?
An additional dose of a vaccine after the initial vaccine series
Why may people need boosters?
May not produce adequate memory cells
Need it due to antigen variation and mutation
Need it due to crossbreeding
Epidemic vs Pandemic
Epidemic = communicable disease spreads rapidly locally
Pandemic = communicable disease spreads rapidly across countries
What is herd immunity?
When a large proportion of the population has been vaccinated, so it makes it hard for the pathogen to spread.
