Constant
A symbol which has a fixed value, such as 3, 7, or 205.
Variable
A symbol which can take various values, such as x, y, or z.
Term
Constants alone, variables alone, or a combination of constants and variables using multiplication and division, such as 7, x, 7x, or 3x.
Algebraic Expression
A combination of terms using addition and subtraction, such as 7x+3, 2z−5, or 3x+4y2. It is an expression that contains both constants and variables.
Numeric Expression
An expression which contains only numbers.
Polynomial
