Argumentative Writing
A form of composition that aims to persuade or convince the readers to agree or believe a writer’s argument about an issue
A genre of writing that requires the student to discuss extensively a topic, collect, generate, evaluate information and substantiate claims by providing evidences, and establish an assumption on the topic following a standard format/structure

Opposite Editorials
A stand on certain issues written by writers outside of a newspaper company. It is usually found at the opposite page of the editorial
They want the readers to see other opinions
They need experts on a specific field to write about a topic
Letters to the Editor
Submitted by the readers to a newspaper company to agree or disagree about articles published by the newspaper agency
Advertisements
Paid advertisements that try to convince people to try or buy something
Propaganda
Bad example of argumentative essay but has the same purpose. Aims to persuade people by presenting biased or misleading information.
