Diphenhydramine and chlorpheniramine. (contain hydroxyzine)

What are 2 generation internasal antihistamine?

cetirizine and levocetirizine

1. dextromethorphan: it’s a nonselective/first generation antihistamine oral drug for dry cough so it’s a antitussive drug

2. Guaifenesin: it’s a expectorant which loosens the mucus and it’s for wet cough.

Induced version = increase metabolism = lower efficacy

inhibited version = decrease metabolsim= high effeicacy
