• pebbles grind against rocks, causing them to become smooth

• Rocks crash into eacchother, becoming smaller and more rounded

• sea water dissolves certain rocks (chalk and limestone)

• minerals dissolved into the water

• small particles suspended in the water flow

Saltation

• small pieces of shigle/sand grains are bounced along the sea bed

Traction

• larger pebbles are rolled along the sea bed
