Part 2: These books teach about friendship, overcoming difficulties, and hope. The sequence of events makes the author's purpose most effective because the characters try to resolve many conflicts. For example, in the book Dawn, the clans go on a journey to find a new home. The clans used to fight, but now they have to work together to overcome difficulties along the way.
