The 17 sustainable development goals, introduced in 2016 are a global plan to address major challenges by 2030. They were developed my United Nations member states and other stakeholders, they include 169 targets aimed at ending poverty, promoting health, empowering women, addressing climate change and ensuring peace and equality.
