Factoring perfect cubes
Finding the zeros of a. cubic function through factoring using shortcuts if both the A and C term are perfect cubes. 2 Types:
𝐚³+𝐛³ (regular)
𝐚³-𝐛³ (difference of perfect squares
Find a & b terms first by using the cube root or raising to the power of 1/3. *Factor out a GCF if not a perfect cube binomial.
Factoring formula: 𝐚³+𝐛³ (regular)
𝐚³+𝐛³ ⇢ (𝐚+𝐛)(𝐚²-𝐚𝐛+𝐛²)
Factoring formula: 𝐚³-𝐛³ (difference of perfect squares)
𝐚³-𝐛³ ⇢ (𝐚-𝐛)(𝐚²+𝐚𝐛+𝐛²)
