  • They started with neutrality but later entered because two ships with Americans on it were blown up and they intercepted a message from Germany promising that they would help Mexico gain back American land.

  • By the time the US came there were major casualties and the defense line wasn’t doing too good and unrestricted submarine warfare was very dangerous.

  • Germany had to accept full responsibility for the war, make reparation payments, and reduce their military, Japan also felt left out even though they won.
