Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord.
Eph 5:22
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, he who is the savior of his body.
Eph 5:23
And as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives ought to be subject to their husbands and everything.
Eph 5:24
And you, husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her,
Eph 5:25
in order to make her Holy by cleansing her with the washing of water accompanied by the word,
Eph 5:26
so as to present his church before himself all glorious, without spot or wrinkle or anything of the kind, but holy and immaculate.
Eph 5:27
In the same way, husbands have the duty to love their wives as their own body, for the one who loves his wife loves himself.
Eph 5:28
No one, in fact, ever hates his own flesh, but he nourishes and cares for it, is Christ does with the church,
Eph 5:29
because we are members of his body.
Eph 5:30
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and Unite with his wife, and the two will form one flesh.
Eph 5:31
This mystery is great; I say this with reference to Christ in the church.
Eph 5:32
Therefore also you, each one on his part, should love his wife as himself, and the woman should have reverence toward her husband.”
Eph 5:33
The disciples said to him, “If this is the condition of man in relation to woman, it is not advantageous to marry”

That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question.
Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question.
Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question.
Mt 22:23
Mk12:18
Lk20:27
“Teacher,” they said, “Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.
“Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother

Mt 22:24
Mk12:19
Lk20:28
Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother.
Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children.
Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless.
Mt 22:25
Mk12:20
Lk20:29
The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh.
The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third
The second 31 and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children.
Mt 22:26
Mk12:21
Lk20:30-31
Finally, the woman died.
In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too.
Finally, the woman died too.
Mt 22:27
Mk12:22
Lk20:32
Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”
At the resurrection[a] whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”
Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”
Mt 22:28
Mk12:23
Lk20:33
Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.
Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
Mt 22:29
Mk12:24
At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
Mt 22:30
Mk12:25
Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[b]?
Mk12:26
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
Mk12:27
Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage.
Lk20:34
But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage,
Lk20:35
and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.
Lk20:36
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28ButI say to you: Whoever looks at a woman to desire her [in a reductive way] has already committed adultery with her in his heart”
Mt 5:27-28
For this is the will of God, your sanctification:
1 Tess 4:3
that you abstain from unchastity; that each one of you knows how to keep his own body with holiness and reverence,
1 Tess 4:4
not as an object of lustful passions, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
1 Tess 4:5
For God did not call us to impurity but to sanctification.
1 Tess 4:7
Therefore whoever rejects these norms rejects not a human being but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you”
1 Tess 4:8
It is not good that man should be alone; I want to make him a help similar to himself
(Gen 2:18)

3Some Pharisees came to him to test him and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?” 4And he answered them “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator created them male and female 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’ 6So it is that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined let man not separate.” 7They objected, “Why then did Moses order to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?” 8Jesus answered, “Because of the hardness of your heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.”
(Mt 19:3-8)
“I say to you, live by the spirit and do not satisfy the desires of the flesh; for the flesh has desires contrary to the spirit, and the spirit has desires contrary to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, so that these are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want”
Gal 5:16-17
“5For those who live according to the flesh set their mind on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit on the things of the spirit. 6But the desires of the flesh lead to death while the desires of the spirit lead to life and peace. 7In fact, the desires of the flesh are in revolt against God because they do not submit to God’s law not are they able to. 8Those who live according to the flesh cannot please God. 9But you are not under the dominion of the flesh but of the Spirit from the moment that the Sprit dwells in you. If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him. 10And if Christ is on you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of justification.”
(Rom 8:5-10)

Or do you know that whoever is united to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For it is said, ‘The two will be one flesh.’ But anyone united to the Lord forms one spirit with him”
1 Cor 6:15-17
“All in all”
(see 1 cor 15:28
“God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he willed… 22The members of the body that seem weaker are more necessary, 23and those members of the body that we think less honorable we clothe with greater reverence, and our unpresentable members are treated with greater modesty; 24whereas our more presentable members do not need this. But God has so arranged the body. Giving the greater honor to the member that lacked it, 25so that there may be no disunion within the body, but the members may have care for one another”
1 Cor 12:18, 22-25
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit[a] set their minds on the things of the Spirit.[b]
Romans 8:5
One
Creation as giving: God created the world as a gift for man
Two
Giving and Man: man created in God’s image is capable of receiving and responding to God’s gift. A gift requires a giver, receiver and relationship between the two
Three
Gift- mystery of a beatifying Beginning: existence as male and female in a communion of persons/reciprocal gift. Free with the freedom of the gift. Gift of self make us happy
Four
Discovery of the spousal meaning of the body: man came into existence with the knowledge that his sexuality is ordered to an end. SMB reflects that man Imago Dei is made for communion of persons and his body has the ability to express love in which he becomes a gift and forms a communion of persons and procreates
Five
“Freedom of the Gift”- foundation of the spousal meaning of the body. Self-mastery is needed to freely and fully give of oneself. Yes or no
Six
The “spousal character” of the body and the revelation of the person: value and beauty beyond sexuality. Body has the ability to express love in which the person becomes a gift and the other person is affirmed as a person and welcomed as a gift.
Seven
The spousal meaning of the body as the fruit of rootedness in love: Experience of the body bears witness to rootedness in love. Love was radiated through creation and is most perceived in man.
