Longitude
Imaginary lines (meridians) that measure degrees east and west of the Prime Meridian.
Meridians
Imaginary lines that run north-south and measure longitude.
Parallels (Lines of Latitude)
Imaginary lines that run east-west and measure degrees north and south of the Equator.
Equator
0° latitude; divides the Earth into Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
Prime Meridian
0° longitude; divides the Earth into Eastern and Western Hemispheres (passes through Greenwich, England).
Northern Hemisphere

Southern Hemisphere
