In which specific areas is sprinkler protection considered unsuitable according to Section 4.1.2?
Sprinkler protection is unsuitable in: a) silos or containers with contents that swell on contact with water; b) areas with industrial furnaces, salt baths, or metal melting pans where water increases danger; c) other areas where water poses a risk; d) areas with tilting frying pans, deep fat fryers, and similar equipment.
What alternative extinguishing systems should be used when sprinkler water is unsuitable?
Automatic systems such as gas, water mist, or spray water fire extinguishing systems planned and installed according to VdS guidelines.
What are the three main fire hazard classifications used for dimensioning a sprinkler system?
What are the requirements for an area to be classified as Light Hazard (LH)?
