1
New cards

fast and abrupt

I used fast and abrupt dynamics during my jumping travel sequence across the stage to highlight the speed at which wildfires and toxic gases are spreading.

2
New cards

slow and sustained

At the beginning of the dance I use slow and sustained dynamics in the hand circling and reach towards the audience to show the original properties of coal being soft and crumbly

3
New cards

sudden

When I transition into the 2nd section of my dance I use sudden dynamics in the highlight of stag jumping into a roll on the floor to emphasise the transition from being soft and crumbly, into substance that gathers heat energy to cause wildfires and toxic gases.

4
New cards

deceleration

At the end of my dance I used deceleration in the repetition of my opening motif where I circle my hands and reach towards the audience to evoke the feeling of exhaustion and disappointment in not being able to return to the beginning properties.

5
New cards

choreographic intention

The intention of my dance was how the properties of coal progress to become a devastating fossil fuel.
