10 commandments of safe gun handling

  1. treat every gun as if it were loaded until you personally prove otherwise

  2. always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction

  3. know your gun and ammunition, before firing make certain there are no obstructions in the barrel or action of ur gun

  4. be sure of your backstop and what is beyond the target

  5. be sure of your target and never point your gun, loaded or unloaded

  6. don’t ever put your finger on the trigger unless prepared to fire

  7. always unload your firearm before allowing someone else to handle it

  8. be sure your guns are unloaded and the action is open before carrying them into your car or home

  9. guns and alcohol do not mix

  10. always respect private property of others
