Test
A systematic procedure for measuring an individual's behavior and predicting performance.
Quantitative Test
A test generally concerned with turning performance into numbers; yields numerical scores.
Sample of Behavior
A sample of behavior, products, answers, or performances from a particular domain.
Systematic Method of Eliciting Performance
A systematic method of eliciting performance intended to be the basis for some decision-making.
Oral Test
The test taker gives answers orally.
Written Test
Answers to questions are written by the test taker.
Performance Test
The test taker creates an answer or product that demonstrates knowledge or skill.
Objective Test
A test whose items yield numerical scores and have convergent or specific responses.
Subjective Test
A test that is not easily quantified as students are given freedom to write their answer.
Individual Test

Group Test

Standardized Test

Achievement Test

Summative Test

Identifies strengths and weaknesses in past and present learning.
