Last summer I went to Menorca, near Spain

L’été dernier, je suis allée à Minorque, près de l’Espagne

I went with my brother and my parents

Je suis allée avec mon frère et mes parents.

I went by plane, it was my second time on a plane

J’ai suis allée en avion, c’était ma deuxième fois en avion!

It was fast and comfortable

C’était rapide et confortable

I went in July for ten days

Je suis allée en juilliet pendant dix jours.

It was hot and it wasn’t windy

Il a fait chaud et il n’a pas fait de vent.

During the day, I did some sightseeing and saw the monuments

Pendant la journée, j’ai fait du tourisme et j’ai vu les monuments.

I also went to the beach and the pool and I swam!

Aussi, je suis allée à la plage et à la piscine, et j’ai nagé!

Aussi, à la plage, je me suis bronzée et je me suis relaxée

Also, at the beach, I sunbathed and relaxed

At the beach, I saw some fish in the sea

À la plage j’ai vu des poissons dans la mer

When I go on holiday, I eat a lot

Quand je pars en vacances, je mange beaucoup.

I ate pizzas, pasta, regional specialities and lots of ice cream and pastries

J’ai mangé des pizzas, des pâtes, les spécialités de la région et beaucoup de glaces et de pâtisseries

I drank coffee, cocktails and fruit juices- it was delicious

J’ai bu du café, des cocktails et des jus de fruits- c’était délicieux

In the evening, I went to a restaurant and afterwards, I walked around the city

Le soir, je suis allée au restaurant et ensuite, je me suis promenée dans la ville

After that, I went to bed late

Après ça je me suis couchée tard

I had a very good holiday because there was lots to do

J’ai passé de très bonnes vacances parce qu’il y avait beaucoup à faire

It was a very relaxing vacation: the weather was very nice, and Menorca is a very beautiful place

Ce furent des vacances très relaxantes: il a fait très beau et Minorque est un très joli endroit.

It was a good vacation and I would visit again

C’était de bonnes vacances et je reviendrais visiter
