Intermodal Personnel / Responsible for selecting efficient, cost-effective transportation solutions using multiple modes (motor, rail, ocean, air). Typically employed by freight forwarders or brokers to solve complex shipping needs.

Logistics Personnel / Use analytical and data management skills to measure, predict, and improve logistics and transportation operations. They focus on metrics, problem-solving, and performance analysis.

Dispatchers / Specialized operations staff who manage the timely and efficient routing of trucks, railcars, and manpower. They focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management.

Operations Personnel / Include drivers, diesel mechanics, facility staff, and security. These roles form the foundational workforce of transportation companies and are critical for daily operations.

Support Personnel / Include roles in HR, IT, finance, marketing, and sales. These staff support core transportation functions and help ensure organizational success.

Transportation Supervisor / A senior role responsible for decision-making and managing personnel. Requires experience in operations, logistics, and customer service. Not typically an entry- or mid-level position.
