Cone-shaped organ composed of 4 chambers (2 atria, 2 ventricles) functioning as a double pump.

Systemic Circuit

Circulation that carries blood to & from the body (internal).

Pulmonary Circuit

Circulation that carries blood to & from the lungs (external).

Epicardium

Visceral layer of serous pericardium.

Myocardium

"The Muscle" layer of the heart.

Endocardium

Layer lining the chambers of the heart.
