Verbal Communication
Communication that uses spoken or written words.
Non-Verbal Communication
Communication involving tone, facial expressions, gestures, posture, and eye contact.
Physical Barriers
Barriers to effective communication such as noise and distance.
Psychological Barriers
Barriers to effective communication such as stress and biases.
Semantic Barriers
Barriers to effective communication such as language or jargon differences.
Cultural Barriers
Barriers to effective communication such as norms, traditions, and context.

Active Listening
A communication skill where one listens to understand rather than just to reply, using techniques like nodding, eye contact, and asking clarifying questions.

Conciseness

Coherence

Feedback
A key component of communication involving the receiver's response or reaction to a message.
Digital Communication Etiquette
Rules for online interaction such as using proper grammar and tone, thinking before sending, and avoiding all-caps unless shouting.
