What is found within the carotid sheath?
Superficial cervical lymph nodes -> deep cervical lymph nodes -> L or R jugular trunks -> thoracic duct (L) or R venous angle (R)
Where does lymph from the superficial tissues of the neck drain to?
Along external jugular vein
Where are the superficial cervical lymph nodes located?
Along internal jugular vein
Where are the deep cervical lymph nodes located?
Modified hinge synovial with articular disc
What type of joint is the temporomandibular joint?
Mandibular fossa and articular tubercle of temporal bone with articular disc
What are the articular surfaces of the superior articular cavity of the TMJ?
Protrusion and retrusion (gliding movements)
