Required materials
Textbook with McGraw-Hill Connect Access (Anatomy and Physiology: An Integrative Approach, 2025 release by McKinley); Connect access (e-text); colored pencils; pencil/pen and notebook paper.
Teaching philosophy & methodology
Learning anatomy requires repetition and interactive exposure; in-person labs provide opportunities; early access to objectives and weekly practice quizzes; instructors and TAs available.

Prerequisites & concurrent enrollment
Prerequisites: limited to Nursing majors or first major in Kinesiology; must be concurrently enrolled in the BIOL 20204 lecture.
Lab safety training requirement
All students must complete online safety training modules at tcu.inclassnow.com; failure to complete by the instructor's date may bar attendance and makeup opportunities.
Lab safety practices
Wash hands before handling materials; sanitize lab space at beginning and end; handle all lab materials with care.
Lab check offs
Assessments on identification of anatomical structures; check offs can be written, verbal, or gestural; details in the TCU Online lab course shell.
Laboratory examinations (exams)
Two lab practical exams; must be on time; tardiness/absence may yield a 0; exams are timed (1 minute per station) and assess histology (images) and gross anatomy (models/dissected specimens); spelling matters.
