The function of the circulatory system
the circulatory system’s job is to pump blood around the body in order to deliver things such as nutrients, amino acids and oxygen
Veins
veins carry de-oxygenated blood back to the heart and lungs for oxygenation. they are thinner and less muscular than arteries.
Arteries
blood vessels that carry oxygenated blood around the body. thicker walls and muscular strucutre help withdtand high pressures
Capillaries
microscopic blood vessels that transports nutrients to cells and aid in waste disposal
