**Since they invaded Belguim who was neutral since they wanted to defeat France quickly.  Since Germany wanted to attack France and Russia that led to the alliances to form because other countries also wanted to defeat these countries.**

**After WW1 Germany will suffer major debt and need to pay the countries back big time. Also the new countries starting out are weak and don't have lots of funds/money.**
