Describe the events at Rainbow Inn when Silas Marner arrives. What does Marner tell the people, and how do they react to him? Who does Marner accuse initially?

When Silas Marner arrives with his group of men(Bob the Butcher, ben Winthrop, and Mr. Tookey)  in the Rainbow Inn, where he discusses the subject of a cow, which the butcher had chopped up the previous day. The subject of the cow leads to its ownership by Mr. Lammeter and general conversation of the Lammeter family an their origin in Raveloe.

Describe how Godfrey reacts to hearing about what Dustan did to his horse. In contrast, how does he decide to act about this news when talking to his father?

Godfrey is anxious for his horse until his meet with Bryce and told Godfrey everything that happen with Dustan and his disappearance, while the house was killed by Dustan. Godfrey felt uncomfortably to confront with his father with this situation, which his father told Godfrey to tell Dunstan that he need not come home again.

Compare and contrast the characters of Dunstan and Godfrey. How does the way Godfrey react, contrast with how Dunstan conducts himself?

When it comes to Dunstan, he serves as a contrast to Godfrey as a means of relieving Silas of his gold and as a reminder to Godfre that truth will eventually reveal itself. While Godfrey confrontation with his father about what Dustan done to his money and horse show he side of what Dustan personality.

  1. In Chapter 9 and 10, who is the initial suspect of the robbery? Why do they think this person is guilty? What has happened to Dunstan?

The robbery disappear with Dunstan due to them lose interest of the villagers when there is no exciting new/ The villagers would be unlikely to attribute any true evil to a member of Squire Cass’s family they are so sued to the Cass’s as a supervisor.

In Chapter 10, how do the people respond and act to Silas Marner? Why do you think this is?

Most of the villagers responded to Silas with kindness. I think that this a true because Mr. Macey told Silas that he was better off without his money because the villagers were responding better to him, and that they would respond even better to him if he went to church.
