Explain the Jewish holiday of either Passover or  Yom Kippur. What is the story behind it in scriptures and how is it reflected in the Christian faith?

Passover remembers when God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. In Exodus, God sent ten plagues, and during the last plague, the Israelites put lamb’s blood on their doors so the angel of death would pass over them. To celebrate, Jewish families hold a Seder meal with symbolic foods like lamb, bitter herbs, and unleavened bread. They retell the story of the Exodus to remember God's saving power. In Christianity, Passover connects to Jesus’ Last Supper, which was a Passover meal. Christians also see Jesus as the "Lamb of God" who saves people from sin.

What are the parts of the Exodus way/pattern? Give a specific example of something that happens in each part. Connect the Exodus pattern to another story of scriptures not in the Pentateuch or a story of modern times.

First, the Israelites are in slavery in Egypt . God calls Moses to lead them out, and through miracles like the parting of the Red Sea, He frees them. At Mt. Sinai, God gives the Ten Commandments to guide them. Then the Israelites wander for forty years in the desert before reaching the Promised Land. The Exodus way also resonates with immigrants' experiences as they may face hardships on their journey to their new home. Many challenges come with establishing a new life in a new place.
