Refraction
A phenomenon associated with oblique incidence.
Reflection
An occurrence based on acoustic impedance differences.
Angle Degree
Determines whether the incidence is normal or oblique.
Propagation Speed Assumption
The machine assumes that sound always travels at a speed of 1540m/s.
Imaging Plane Assumption
The machine assumes the imaging plane is thin.
Beam Axis Assumption
The machine assumes that sound reflections originate only from structures located in the main axis of the beam.
Travel Path Assumption
The machine assumes sound travels directly to a reflector and back to the transducer.
Straight Line Assumption
The machine assumes that sound travels in a straight line.
Reflector Strength Assumption
The machine assumes reflector strength is proportional to the tissue properties which produce the reflection.
