Code of ethics followed by researchers to ensure experiment is ethical
What does the Nuremberg Code say
voluntary human consent is essential, research must be for the good of the society, benefits must outweigh the risks, avoids unnecessary mental and physical suffereing, no deadly experiments, proper prepartions to protect participants, performs by qualified professionals and experiment must be terminated once resutls are known
What are the American Sociological Association Code of Ethics
Maintain objectivity and integrity in research, respect subjects rights to privacy and diginity, protect subject from harm, seek informed consent, acknowledge collaboration and assistance, and disclose sources of financial support
